Jennifer Knowles C-NP

Certified Nurse Practitioner

Specialty:  Interventional Pain

Jennifer was born in Rapid City and grew up surrounded by the musical activities of her family.  She is the daughter of two local music teachers and played the violin throughout her high school years at Rapid City Central High School.  Jennifer pursued her undergraduate degree in interdisciplinary sciences at St. Olaf College and South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.  She spent three years in New York City studying nursing and earned a Masters of Science in Nursing and a Family Nurse Practioner Specialization in 2008 at Columbia University.

Jennifer and her husband David have three sons, Connor, Cameron, and Cooper.  They keep busy raising the boys and Jen is Connor’s practicing partner as he advances as a violinist in school orchestra and the Black Hills Suzuki School.  As a family, they all enjoy local performing arts productions like the Black Hills Symphony Orchestra, Black Hills Community Theater, and having fun with their extended family.

Jennifer feels that learning more about the specialty of pain management has been both interesting and rewarding, and she is committed to helping each patient as a whole person and not just a specific symptom.  Her aim is to help relieve, reduce, and manage pain and help patients restore their quality of life as much as possible.
